Description

The changing moods of the sea have inspired people to paint since time immemorial.
The underwater world has only recently become accessible to scuba divers and shows its grandiose forms and colors in the spotlight.
Photography and film made them accessible to the public.
Willi Fischer, freelance painter and graphic artist, adds his very own to these forms of communication: as an enthusiastic and experienced diver, after a few attempts he found a way to paint under water.
He not only developed special waterproof paints, but also paints without artificial light.
His images are a multi-layered interpretation and translation of what divers experience.
The film introduces the artist at work. Led by Norbert Piekorz, an experienced diving instructor, the camera team follows him and Willi Fischer to the enchanting coral reefs in the Indian Ocean.
