Travel & Adventure – Seaworld of Bali at Menjangan Island

Bali is a paradise island in Indonesia which boasts of gigantic forested volcanic mountains, pristine beaches, lush green paddy fields and picturesque coral reef beds. Amidst all these beauties there is Menjangan Island which is indeed one of the most beautiful hidden gems of Indonesia. The Gawana Resort is the starting point for our daily diving trips around Manjangan Island over the next 2 weeks. The island is a protected nature reserve. The boat trip in a Dhoni to the uninhabited Menjangan Island with its diving spots takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Menjangan Island has ten designated diving spots, but it is possible to dive anywhere around the island. One of the underwater high lights is Eel Garden, an extremely impressive coral garden. Other highlights are spotting turtles, huge colonies of sand eels, scorpion fish, morays, numerous cleaning stations and…  deeper recesses and cave-like chambers or a cathedral bathed in light. Underwater photographers are spoilt for choice here and have plenty of opportunity to take sensational photos.
