Description
High quality CGI provides the viewer with a clear understanding of the development and surgical treatment of radicular cysts. In the clinical case, cystectomy on a young patient is shown. Due to its large size, subsequent treatment using a stabilized autologous venous blood clot, first described by Schulte, was also indicated. The necessary blood draw as well as the preparation of the filling for the residual bony cavity is shown in a step-by-step fashion. Intraoperative pitfalls are discussed. Antibiotic therapy, postoperative follow-up and long-term results including bony regeneration conclude this topic.
