Description
Benign and irritative growths of the oral mucosa must be removed before any prosthetic restoration. In one clinical case, the surgical removal of vestibular fibromatosis by excision is demonstrated, in a second case, the removal of papillary hyperplasia of the palate by dermabrasion, using a high-speed diamond-tipped abrasive bit. Wound care and follow-up are then discussed.
