Description

Compared to classical periodontal surgical procedures, the aim here is to restore lost attachments via guided tissue regeneration by means of absorbable mesh membranes. These processes are illustrated very clearly through computer animation. In the step-by-step surgical procedure, the application of interproximal absorbable Vicryl® mesh in the left upper jaw is demonstrated after curettage and root smoothing. Wound closure and follow-up results are then demonstrated.
