Description
The aim of the operation is to expand and relieve the vestibular gingiva from tensile forces in the sulcus area. The indications for the procedure are discussed in detail. In the area of the left lateral lower jaw, a gingival extension is performed with detailed presentation of the preparation technique in the mental area and including the preparation of the transplant bed. This is followed by the removal of the gingival graft with the mucotome and its fitting and fixation with tissue adhesive. The various phases of wound healing are then documented.
