Description
The operative therapy of maxillary empyema employing trepanation of the maxillary sinus via the vestibule is demonstrated systematically and enhanced with the help of CGI. The results are evaluated radiologically. If the infection becomes chronic, revision is indicated, which involves the creation of a sinonasal fistula. The main goal is to improve ventilation of maxillary sinus. This method is demonstrated in detail with the help of both live patient treatment and CGI film sequences. Radiological evaluation shows the final treatment result.
